A great deal of this blog is about what it’s like living abroad — to move to another country … continent, even … at the ripe old age of fifty. The cultural differences, that aren’t all that easily penetrated at first, and other comparisons. I moved from Sweden to Canada in 2004.
Lots of web stuff too — anything new and exciting on the Web, I’ll sign up. I’ve been online since late 1996, but I’ve slept a little also. I like WordPress as a blogging platform, most of all for its sense of community, but also thanks to all its bells ‘n whistles and how I can easily find my way around its functions.
Photography and Photoshop are two other of my time consuming interests. Took up photography in 2009, but I still feel like a newbie. I have a passion for animals, birds, ducks and waterfowl in particular … all furry and feathered friends.

Hi,
A very nice photo.
Thank you … I didn’t have that one when they had that ‘self portrait-challenge’ a few weeks back… Took it last snow-day, when playing inside with the camera.
Hello,
Nice to meet you. Thank you for your comment. Greatly appreciated. It’s nice to hear from others.

Nice guy.
Hi, and thanks for stopping by. Yes it’s always nice to hear something back.. Thanks for the link also — will check it out..
I just wanted to say thank you again for stopping by my blog. I smiled to myself when I read your comment…thank you! I love your blog. Your photos are really captivating!!
I was even more impressed by that post a little later, when I read your age somewhere!!!
Oh, to be so young! What a lovely face to go with all those lovely birds and photos and words and, and, and…..all the adjectives.
To be living with “your man and our cat” captures the tired strings of ones soul.
It’s a good life. Thank you so much Linda… Young?! I’ll turn fifty seven this year! But then again — everything is relative.. I remember my mom, when she was fifty seven … I thought she was old, but I don’t feel old now. Perhaps she didn’t either. I’ll never know.
Nice to meet you! I love the Cyril Connolly quote!!
Thank you Caddo …also for stopping by! I think I heard that quote in an episode of ‘Criminal Minds’
Nice to “meet” you here in the cyber world. I am also a Canadian, in Ontario. I hope you are enjoying Canada.
Nice to meet you, likewise … I’m enjoying Canada very much. We’re in the Maritimes and I love it.
Hello, I am pleased to meet you. I share that sentiment about being an immigrant.
Hi Imelda,
Always nice to meet a fellow immigrant. What part of the world do you live now?
I am now based in MA, USA, where there are 4 seasons compared to the year-round tropical weather that I grew up in.
Great blog and wonderful photography!
Thank you so much, Gilly! You have pretty awesome shots, yourself
